HOW TO READ AND USE A KINDLE BOOK
FOR MAXIMUM VALUE AND EASE
Right now, this is more of a notes section, one I am doing for myself, with, of course, sought usefulness for you also.
I may have times where I purchase the physical book, so I can mark it up and "flip from one section" to another plus I might purchase the Kindle book because then I can do the easier searches for better reference!
LITTLE CLUES AND REMINDERS FOR MYSELF...
In the table of contents, most often, you can control click (press CTRL key and click with the mouse pointer) on a section title and it will take you directly to that section!
Search In A Book: in both the iBooks and Kindle apps, you can search the full text (excluding text in images) of the book you are currently reading. Click on the magnifying glass icon. This like an index on steroids.
Search across all Kindle books?
If you wanted to know whether you can enter a search term at the top-level of these apps and have them search across all books stored in the app: No, currently neither iBooks nor the Kindle app have such a feature.
However, I have seen this capability on the Kindle device itself - Yes – There is a "search my items" option available that will search all books on the device for a given term.
