THE FACTORS INVOLVED IN CHANGE
AND IN NOT CHANGING

(Not quite finished, but usable)

Note that the ability to or the lack of ability to are based on the same factors as addictive behaviors.  Addiction is what probably is the key factor in people struggling.  So, if you're having difficulty changing, you are probably an addict of what it is that needs to be changed.

If you truly want to change, you need to follow the process for changing.  This means you need to start off learning about change, so that you can see what needs to be done and what is realistic or unrealistic.  It is all about learning and then using the right strategy - it is not about willpower, character, how smart you are, how "good" you are or any of that BS - it is about strategy!

It is much harder on a person to "not change" than it is to "change" to get the results in life that make like easier and more workable.

If a person is subject to alot of the inhibiting factors, then it is imperative that the person stop the merry go round - and engage in correcting the deficient learning in too many areas of life - so that he can manage his life for effectiveness and happiness.

FACTORS

Learning how things work
Learning how to work things
Clear on the benefits and costs - on both sides
  Identified, establish emotional "why"s and
      intensity
Follow the change process and not stop short
FACTORS INHIBITING CHANGE

Note that not all of these have to be solved, as we just need to switch "the balance".  See The Law Of Numbers And Strength.   See and use the checklist on How Not To Change - How To Keep Going Where You're Going

Circle those that might be true for you.  Then alter the big ones until you've change the balance of power so that you will be capable of effectively changing.

Awareness, clarity
Not being in touch with what is going on
