WHAT WILL PRODUCE THE MOST VALUE FOR ME
AND I'VE CHECKED IT TWICE

I've studied this extensively and corrected much of what I misestimated as having value.

I valued achievement, but failed to question it - and to see that it was a substitute or believed way to get love (or avoid beind disapproved of, as less than perfect).  And, of course, I misvalued money and misestimated how much was needed.  And I undervalued the "spiritual", "happy" stuff.

Anyway, lots of misestimates, so I hope anyone who might read this will go through their own lists and correct them, through reading much of what is on this site and gaining a perspective on how it all fits together.

Units
  Of
Value    ______________What I value_________________________

100     My health and my ability to experience life
95      My relationship with my brother and sister and significant other
90      Contributing to the happiness of others, relieving suffering
90      Learning how things work in life and making my life great
50      Good memories and being proud of what I've done in life
50      The people I've known and loved
50      The miracles of life, technology, people, the world - gratitude for it all!
50      Being moved, touched, and inspired
20      A nice house to live in
10      The freedom having money has afforded me
9      Experiencing different parts of the world
9      The fun of having a great computer system
   6       Books
6       Great or fun movies, inspiration
5       Enjoying healthy food (used to love Cherry Garcia...)
   4       Clothes
2       A great car to drive, not for the prestige, but the "feel" of it

The experience of the sun, driving with the top down, talking with people, exercising and feeling good, etc. - those are all pleasurable experiences but in terms of "value" I suppose they would be less than a 10 on the scale above.

I answered this question:  How Much Is Enough For Me?  What Is My Baseline Where I Feel "OK"? -  This is part of the exercise relating to gratitude but also being clear on what is a "bonus" rather than a "missing" in life.
