QIGONG
EXTRACTING FOR ME WHAT IS MOST USEFUL

Pronounced "Chee gong".  It is about the management of "chi", which is the word for energy.  Like all the disciplines it has a mental aspect as well as a physical aspect.

You can, of course, choose to go to whatever level you believe is beneficial to you.

I am, in this case, sifting right off the top to only use what I think is of most benefit.

WHAT I TAKE FROM IT AND DO

Illustrated basically in the video listed in the left sidebar:

Cupped hand or flat patting:

I stand on one leg (could put foot on a chair is easier), and pat with both hands rapidly and with mild force every inch or two inches all the way up my leg and then my butt and then sides of my hips.

Then I pat rigorously my lower back (that part that tends to be painful or stiff at times).

Next, I pat up each side of my body, one at a time, and remain patting slightly below my arm pit, as that is a key spot to relieve holding and evoke energy.  Then I hold my arm out and pat vigorously even inch or so of my arm, continuing up into the shoulder, where I pat longer until it feel released and go to the base of my to release that holding, then I go "round" on down my back, patting myself across that half of the back.

I then pound on my chest vigorously, like an ape.

I end my leaning over, hanging there, touching the ground until I feel a loosening of the back.

This Qigong exercise that I choose is part of my master routine listed in The Vital Skill Of "Energizing" - One Of The Greatest, Most Essential To Living A Good/Great Life
