THE FEARS
REORGANIZED BY CORE TYPE

Not perfectly complete, but there is a lot of good content...

There are several key points to learn right now and to operate off of.  Though I will do a summary box, for when a person returns he/she can again clear up the overall understanding (and then go deeper if needed), it is essential that you read the explanations right afte the fears list box.

The purpose behind this discussion piece is for you to

1. Identify fears that you no longer want to (or have to!) experience and to

2. Identify and eliminate the beliefs that falsely cause them!

Do that via either of these two approaches:

1.  Go to the fear directly and solve it. You can do it directly by using the contents/links directories in the sidebar and then processing them based on the underlying beliefs that cause the fears, using the Reconstructing Your Belief System Step By Step - Finishing 'The Job', For Happiness

Some people just want to fix "the problem" right away, out of a feeling of urgency.  And we may want to take advantage of their current motivation, which might otherwise fad if they had to do too much "homework" (reading, etc.), going the "long way around".

2.  Going through the background learning needed.  You can start with this, or if you go to solve some fears right away, definitely come back to do this, so that you are more capable and wise in this vital, essential, massively important area!  Read and study this:  The Program For Learning And Mastering Emotional Management.

Regardless of which approach you take, in the long run, you will be doing the necessary learning which will enable you to do a much better job at restructuring your erroneous beliefs, eliminating your fears, and setting up a strong foundation for your life.

You'll do that by following the overall paths, which are sometimes also called "programs".  To find the paths to follow go to the page The Paths To Where You Want To Go, preferably starting at the very top path and then branching off onto the supporting paths and programs.

ONE ITEM TO HIGHLIGHT

Most of the "fears" we have are around "losing" something we think we "should have", but in fact never had (so it is hard to "lose it" if we never had it!) or do not truly need!

The "should"s of life are often unreasonable standards (and the corresponding sister
"Unreasonable Expectations").  They are a key source of The Unhappiness Gap.

A great source for depression is misdefining how much to expect of oneself and then misestimating where one is relative to that expectation or what becomes a foolish standard.  If interested, read Perfection - The Path To Hell.

The underlying key process for removing the "not enough" cause of unhappiness is Replacing The "I Am Not Good Enough" Belief - Program And Related Links.

TO ADDRESS THESE

While this page and the directories are for your use in finding and linking to the pieces, you should address those using a program that deals with them and shows you the order to proceed in.

Select from Learning, Implementation Programs - Contents, Links.

A core program many people start with is The Program For Learning And Mastering Emotional Management.

See the discussion on this fears page, at the bottom, after the list.

LIST OF FEARS

If you want to get into these deeper and/or solve them, select them from the "Fears List, Identify Yours" in the  left box under "Identifying Your Fears", in the directory Managing Fear, Anxiety, Worry, Safety Contents, Links

Print it for reference. This form is easier to use to find something alphabetically.

The list on this page is the same listed, just reorganized, so you can choose to print this instead, as you wish.

TO ADDRESS SPECIFIC EMOTIONS

For a list of specific emotions (and emotional issues), link to them and their discussion from Emotion Management, Contents, Links.

TO ADDRESS SPECIFIC BELIEFS

Beliefs Contents, Links
95-99% OF FEARS CAN BE ELIMINATED

(Conscious or unconscious) beliefs cause emotions, and thus they cause fears (an emotion).

Some beliefs are legitimate and produce legitimate fears. (Read Threats And "Fear"!!)

But legitimate fears recede quickly after the true danger is over and soon become a "so what" in life. (See "Zebras" in Overview Diagram Of All Core Fears - Relieving At Least 99% Of Them.)

Most fears are not based on true danger, therefore they have no value and only cause "bad feeling" emotions.  We want to stop those, as they make life unpleasant and can be a constant background conversation and chattering.

TWO CORE BELIEFS

Most of the fears are based on two core beliefs, which lead to an "imagined" danger.  Note how the sorted list lines up with those two core beliefs.  All lead to a fear of death, existing only in our minds and totally unnecessary

"I'm not good enough" = judged by others (even God) to have protection and/or important benefits withdrawn.

"I am powerless" means "I can't do well enough on my own" (and, often, "so I need others power to survive").  Included in this is the fear of not being able to handle the future, which is further discussed in Fearlessness.

Feeling "abandoned" is really only another version of powerlessness, since one feels he or she is screwed without the love or the power of the other people acting on their behalf.

Note that the fears listed under the core fear category/type are all "derivative fears", based on the core belief.  If the core belief is corrected, most of them disappear.

CIRCLE THE FEARS!

Circle the fears you experience most often and note the core fear they are in - and then address that core belief, to cure it and thus cure the ones that are based on that core belief.

So, that means that you would read  this piece, of course:  The Core Belief Statements - Underlying Negative, Harmful Thinking

That's the start, but it is smart to "get smart" about beliefs, which means you would do the belief reconstructing process step by step applied to several of the beliefs initially and also consider the program for learning and mastering emotional management, discussed below, after these boxes.

YOU CAN PRE-VIEW THE SOLUTIONS

Many of the fears and beliefs have already been addressed.  See the contents/links directories in the box to the right.
