MY ORGANIZATION SYSTEM
EVERNOTE

"In progress" - Being tweaked and tested, to finalize, but should be useful to others.  These are notes for myself, which may be useful to you, but if you  want to set this up right, you would use the links in the sidebar and go as far as you need to be sure you are setting up a good structure initially!

Can use evernote for long typed out notes if not like the small note section in Google Tasks.

Limited - Can do reminders by emailing to it (!2015/01/15 in subject line) or by clicking on reminder button while in a note.  Reminds, but limited in my view.

Webclips

Emails - Send also to .read, .watch

Not decided whether to do the .when on "now" or "next"

Strong search function, but how will I know what to ask for, or go to it.  Tickled.

Tags are the secret. If you really aim to use your notes, complete them with a tag or two or three.
Without reminders, most things will fall into The Great Sinkhole. In contrast to notebooks, you don't have to scroll down or even remember a name, as you start typing a tag and the system immediately creates all tags with those letters.  Obviously, you don't get this feature when emailing to evernote, so

Cross reference everything.  If put a project or file into evernote for some reason, cross reference to it when you enter a task in GTask.

Although you can use Evernote in the iDevices, there are some differences where it is better to use the full desktop version, where you can do more extensive reorganizations and actually see the hierarchies.
STACKS, NOTEBOOKS

Stack, Notebooks  (If nothing else is under an unindented item, it is a notebook that is not in a stack.)   Now I would make most of these tags, but using this as hierarchical system.

To post to a notebook from an email, have to scroll through all notebooks alphabetically.
In a new note within Evernote, it is first done by stack if a notebook is within a stack -kinda harder in a sense, as you have to look to see which notebook belongs in a stack.

Yes, I think the notebooks though sometimes burdensome to post to, as opposed to the ease of using a tag, are definitely needed in order to be able to find things.  However, see my comment under tags.

I must set it up so that nothing falls through the cracks.  If it is not worth doing the notations, cross references, and schedules/reminders, then reconsider whether to have it or not.  (Of course, there are some "projects for someday".)
Things I want to know

(For me)

Penultimate And Evernote

All of the relevant files in my Time Productivity Management Project are listed here
Task Management

Use reminders to do day-specific tasks
Review reminders (by date of reminder)
Go to allnotes notebook for all or specific ntbk.
Go to snippets in view options (bottom of page)
      Click on reminders at top
          Click on gear box
Click on "sort reminders by date"
                   Does so, oldest first
Click on date to get popup to change date
You'll get email reminder at time of day you specified.

TAGS

This is what I finally modified to.

(Quicker entry: Go into a new note and just keep entering them in the little "tags" box, press "enter" after type it out.  Then "nest" the indented ones by dragging and dropping into the higher level tag.) To unindent a nested tag, drag to top on drop on "tags".  Can nest to at least 5 levels

Tags

By topic - Can nest under each major one)
Project name (one word if possible), instead of
   separate notebooks
Use . before word and it sorts up to the top.

Search

In search, enter a term and a box below will appear to find out if you want to only search under a tag. And I can also do the same the next level down in the hierarchy.

Using It as a Task List (Or just a way to prompt a time, mostly for later ones.)  See task management notes box, below.

(I changed this from having a number before the term, since I couldn't always remember the number when I would email using a tag.  See old system below, if curious.)

STACKS, NOTEBOOKS

I learned that stacks and notebooks are harder to work with than tags, which can be put into outline hierarchies.
I left my old system of notebooks intact, so I'll have two places to look until I switch over to mostly tags. (I will probably still, for awhile, email to notebooks.)
If did it over, this is what it would look like

Inbox (to sort, like a physical inbox)
Review Hyatt's system (see link to the side) to decide other tags in systems.
