LIFE'S GOALS AND HOW TO GET THERE
THE GRAND OVERVIEW AND THE LIFE PLAN

Also see "Life Productivity" and The Highest Value Activities In Life.

Note that this is here for the purpose, first, of providing an overview, so just soften your focus for a moment and step back to see, first, just the major item headings of the boxes.  Then you might wish to glance at some of the contents, but, again, just to get a feel for it all.  Later, we may use some of these for checklists of what to do, but not for now (unless you want to, but it may be better to wait until you are directed back to it in a later process.  You might wish to include this page in your LifePlan notebook for a perspective, but you'll actually follow the steps in constructing your life plan.
.WHAT WE WANT

Discovering meaning in our lives
Discovering ways of increasing our sense of well-being, life satisfaction, flourishing, contentment...

Life goals we all have

1. Be secure and safe from harm
2. Sufficient resources to live comfortably
3. Certain degree of status and respect from
   others. (This is greatly modifiable.)
4.  Loving relationships with those we trust.
5.  An active sex life.
6.  Be healthy and feel good on a daily basis
7.  Be productive and do something meaningful
   with our lives
8.  Learn new things and be stimulated by new
    experiences.
9.  When things don't go well, the resources and
ability to do something about that so we are
    back on track.
10. Wisdom sufficient to live a good life.

To achieve each, there must be a path (plan) set up.  That is part of this process.  You will achieve those if your follow this process!
WHAT WE DON'T WANT

Pain

   Physical
   Emotional (Fear, Regret)

Avoid:

1.  Insecurity (emotional, physical
   harm)
2.  Insufficient resources
3.  Disapproval, low status/respect
4.  Lonely and unloved
5.  No intimate contact
6.  Feeling bad physically, low energy
7.  Being unproductive, doing
    something that feels unrewarding.
8.  Boring life with no new stimuli
9.  A sense of helplessless and hopelessness about being able to handle the future.  Worry.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO

Seek escape &/or immediate relief via non-working or poor payoff strategies:

Watch alot of TV

Eat sugar and junk foods (crash, not feel good soon and/or later).

Addictive 'pleasures'  (sense of nothingness, not feeling good about self)

Seek approval from others (fear-dependency, mask and attempt to control others)

(And from these we will often get what we don't want!)
WHAT IS NEEDED

Sufficient, effective learning to achieve each of these goals

Time allocated and managed to be able to implement the learning.

Eliminate the blocks and energy users

Sufficient meeting of current, short term needs

Knowledge of how and what to do to do that

Creating "memorable" and "remembered" experiences to lock in

   Feeling good about oneself
       Feeling have contributed something
          meaningful

THE JOURNEY BEGINS...

Decide to choose "the better life journey".

It starts with but a single step.. and then the next...and then the next....

And this is the path to take, one step at a time: The Step By Step Path

  The overview of the path..

  1.  Freeing up the hours and the energy, developing lincreased "operating"
capacity, while feeling good in the present (in two weeks).
  2.  Doing the grand overview to understand how it all fits together and works.
  3.  Getting the cream off the top of each area
  4.  Going deeper in each area, as desired, at level 2.

And before you know it you'll feel highly competent in life, have some good wisdom, and experience much satisfaction with life.
