USING THE LAST PART OF THE EVENING
FOR RENEWAL AND INSPIRATION, FORWARD THINKING...

t
While it would be a great idea to have a few hours of reading in the evening, here I only want to discuss using that last hour before you go to bed.  Of course, a part of it will be getting ready for bed and all it takes.  But the rest can be spent reading.

But of course, we are tired and less attentive at that time, so it must be easy.  And since we are going to sleep and what we read last in the evening may show up in our thoughts and dreams while we sleep, so we want great stuff.

What would that be?

Truly inspiring and true.  I say true because it is something I want to have as part of my foundation in life and spiritual woo-woo is not the truth nor any magic formula (like The Secret).

USE THE REMINDERS BOOK

Reading, preferably aloud with conviction, your "intentions" page, statements page(s), daily key affirmations, any such thing from your Reminders Notebook.

READING  Link to Amazon and enter the title of any book.

What are the good late night reads?  (I'm assuming that you don't mind underlining in a book, for later reading.)

You should pick a few books that you think are good for you, books that are grounding and inspiring.

Here are a few ideas also:

Spiritual book in your religion

The Motivation Manifesto, Brendon Burchard - I guarantee this will solidify your base, philosophically and aspirationally.

Stephen Covey's books

Most Buddhism books.

The Road Less Traveled, M. Scott Peck, M.D.

The Places That Scare You, Pema Chodron

The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz - The ideas in here are good, so separate those out from some of the mystical ideas.

The Power Of Now and/or A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle

My Spiritual Journey, Dalai Lama

The books on happiness

Self Reliance, Ralph Waldo Emerson

Seeking Wisdom, Peter Brevlin
