CHECKLIST FOR BEING GROUNDED
TO START THE DAY

Purpose:   To go out into the world with all of these in place:
Feeling and having a strong core and
A sufficient filling up to have the day be good no matter what.,

How would a powerful person think all day?  That is what is to be achieved in the grounding.

To do that, I must enter the day with the following in place: (at the end of your grounding you should be able to check off having achieved these and be able to make the statements below)

__ A solid sense of self confidence (using the underlying "statements").
__ I am fully capable of handling what comes up in life (not necessarily perfectly but
        solidly)
__ A solid sense of being safe and being "ok" as a person
__ I know that as a person I am "ok" (not flawed and accepting of my whole self)
__ I know that I am safe and that it is virtually certain that true harm will not befall
        me.
__ A clear sense of intention for the day
__ I know what my intention is for the day
__ I am clear on who and how I will be for this day.
__ I know what I intend to achieve today.
__ Having decided what I will do for the day, explicitly and specifically (a planned day)
__ I am clear about what my day will look and what I will do.
__ I have definitively decided what to do, so that I need not "redecide" later (as my
decision ability will not be as great in terms of energy or clear, deeper thinking).

__ I am so well grounded that nothing will perturb me.  I notice when I am not in well functioning balance and I will quickly and frequently return to full functioning homeostasis - I am fully committed to doing that super key to life.
__ I am "up".
__ I am energized.
__ I am strong.
__ I am solidly determined and resolved about life.

To accomplish this you must have a routine, a procedure plus the content to achieve these. If you have no set routine or way of grounding yourself, you cannot be even 1/4 as effective!  If there is anything to have a good standard of excellence about, grounding oneself well qualifies!!!!

While this checklist is an "exit checklist" for when you have finished your daily grounding, it is obviously important that you do that which grounds you for the long term - which will provide a foundation or underpinning that provides the basis to be able to ground oneself daily, where the daily grounding is primarily a "fine tuning" on top of that foundation.  If you are a mess of bad scheduling, being tired, being anxious, blood sugar spiking and dropping, weak physical conditioning, erroneous beliefs such as those with undue negativity, etc., affirming that you are otherwise is largely impotent - it is like trying to "stem the tide" - it won't work, period!  Of course, you can still enter the day with a good perspective, so daily grounding will make a very positive difference - and be invaluable to saving the day from oblivion.

FOUNDATIONAL GROUNDING

What is required for the foundational grounding?

Pretty much the obvious, though of course you need to follow a program to achieve each at a higher level of functioning: (the links are to specific examples of how to run your life with regard to each of these; it is time to stop "knowing about" these and to actually get them into place where you are well functioning in life)

The Physical

__ The nutrition that supports your energy (and prevents it from ups and downs)
__ A healthy weight, so that you're not malfunctioning and killing yourself
__ Adequate sleep for full repair and being rested all day (instead of sleep deprived, operating at the level of a legally drunk person, which science has proven - though people often don't see the massive drop in their productivity and in how they feel)
__ Sufficient movement to feel good all day and to "build" bodily repair and strength.

The Mental/Emotional

__ Handling the erroneous beliefs that have you undermining yourself
__ Understanding and practicing No Fault, especially as the basis for enabling no
         criticism!
__ Learning what is "of value", dumping what is not, and following "Life Productivity"
principles and actions. (See the book on that and, of course, read the linked page.)

To tie each of these together and suggest actual strategies, I have written out what I derived and then applied to my life that worked (plus backed it up with what others have done, as that is alot of what I learned from, of course!).   The links to the ebooks are on the Books links page.  The two books are on the quickest routes to Life Productivity and to Physical-Emotional Health (the physical affects, and effects, the emotional, dramatically!).

You can't "get there" without addressing each of these and handling them to the point where you are reasonably, basically competent in each.  Confidence and feeling a solid core of strength cannot come from a weak base - it's impossible to "feel ok about yourself" if you are not in fact basically ok physically, having a "life value" productive life, and clear on what works in life, especially with regard to having sound beliefs!

You cannot operate "over" these insufficiencies, as denial and trying to be heroic in defiance of the actual workings of life, of course, does not and cannot work.  It never has worked.  We have a society where being able to sleep 6 hours or less is a badge of heroism and strength, where being "tough" and denying the emotional basis of a human being, where expectations of perfect and/or ideal...are held as what is true and workable and/or heroic, to be admired...but they are nonsense - and they don't work - if you look at the evidence.  (If you actually look for people, and check out the facts, you will not find hardly any human beings who can meet those standards/expectations.)
