MY RULES OVERALL FOR MY LIFE
MY GUIDELINES AND WHAT I SHALL ADHERE TO FOR MY GREATER GOOD
October, 2014 Another re-write, to be integrated with my others. (This is another of my personal pages, for me.) Even in this unfinished form, I will print this page and read it aloud for a month, as I must remind myself of it to keep me in track and get it into my primitive brain.
1. I will not allow myself to operate and exist in a diminished state of being.
It is a poor experience of life where I have fooled myself by seeking escape, relief, or just saying "well, it's
natural". I do not feel good in total if I have sugar or addictive substances or distract myself by playing
games that mean nothing of value - even in the short term (within an hour), so I must be through with the
belief that it will do any good for me.
My key job is to assure recovery and return to a high state of operability (resourcefulness) and to honor the
necessity to stay "in the zone" of high functioning balance (homeostasis).
This is #1 because it forms a solid basis for doing well in life and without it I drop into a state of being
a version of PokeyMan, waiting to be poked with random dopamine hits or...
I do this not out of trying to be a hard ass or a super-achiever, but because without it I am wasting much of
my precious life, being stupified or reduced to blobhood.
I will not tolerate less than feeling good or very good in my life. I also will not tolerate going into (or
drifting into) a state of not being grounded, as I know what that does to cause "downward dominos".
This is, I think, the biggest thing that has detracted from what I am capable of producing in life.
2. I will follow productivity rules religiously!!!
I will screen and attempt to do only that which is highly productive of value for me.
I will only operate with clarity about what is valuable to me, overall and in particular activities.
I will assure that I start on my high priority time blocks asap in the morning (after the necessary,
committed morning activities, minimizing times to prep meals, look at email, while away time. The test
of an effective person is how soon he starts the high priority actions and not allowing the other "time
fillers" to come in. (Not starting my day with top priority items almost always ruins my day and definitely
my sense of progress and belief that I can accomplish anything in life. It is too great a cost to incur.)
3. I will follow a carefully-determined and high level of physical rules, as my body (and mind) provides my energy and much of how I feel and how I operate in life in terms of having the power to be able to produce more life value.
4. I will always be kind to others and to see their viewpoint as well as I can. I operate in life from clearly understanding how humans operate and from a desire to relieve their suffering and/or to increase their happiness and satisfaction with life.
I must take a step back each week and actually follow through, not as an option, on my weekly planning
process.
6. To only hang around with uplifting people and/or "people of value" to me.
7. To minimize the time spent in low value activities that I do not need to be in or doing alot of. (Meal prep, completing a bunch of details that will disappear into nothingness with no real results, let certain things go to pot or left undone since they displace the more important, etc.)
To not let myself mistake activity for results!!!! (Or "value" delivery.)
