HOW TO MAKE LIFE EDUCATION MASSIVELY MORE EFFECTIVE
INSTEAD OF WANDERING AROUND OR "KINDA DOIN' IT"



In TheLifeUniversity.com, I address some of what it takes to learn life well, but I'd like to add this page to make some key points toward making more progress.  My impetus is to try to solve the puzzle of how to get people to actually not drop the ball immediately (or soon) after declaring an intention to better their life overall or in some particular way: Getting Past A Good Intentions Declaration And The Fizzle.   This page is as a result of an item that I generated when I was brainstorming about this (as shown on that page.


CRITERIA FOR SCREENING

I would recommend only taking such education from highly successful people (not people trying to figure it out, though very well meaning, you don't want them to learn on your dime but even more you can't afford to do anything less than great with your time.


THE OBVIOUS AND NECESSARY STARTING PLACE

The starting place for any successful journey is knowing where you want to go and having a route to get there. There's lots of books about this and I've attempted to put some pieces together.  However, one of the things I look for (without a lot of success) is qualified entities that can fill in where I do not have the time to adequately do the job. 

One of the keys (and for those who fail, one of the shortcomings) is to have a defined, well-directed program with intense immersion time set aside to complete it.  And it helps alot to have guidance in the process.

I would recommend, for this first step, The MyLifebook program, which will have you creating a LifeBook where you are very clear on what you want in 12 categories of life.  It is recommended by several highly credible leaders in the growth industry, was devised by a highly successful person, and it has very good reports from people who have done the program.  I even wrote a page, with links, on it so that you can get a clearer picture, beyond their own website, of the value of doing this.  See My LifeBook Program - I recommend you read it, consider it carefully, and decide very soon if you are going to do it.  (I have been working on a "free" LifePlan and have some materials that can be used, but I have no "online" program or videos or a coaching program set up, so you either need to use the format I have on this site on your own - admittedly very few people do this on their own - and in delaying or not doing it very effectively has a huge life cost.)


WITHOUT A CLEAR PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE THAT IS STRONG, ONE CANNOT DO WELL IN LIFE

Although I think you can formulate a strong foundation for your life by using the pages on this site to devise a solid philosophy of life, I have recommended that you take programs that will help you better correct and formulate that philosophy of life.  Those programs will help in the process, but you have to tie them together into a comprehensive whole that will guide your life.  I have recommended the workshops from the world's leader in life education:  Landmark Worldwide (formerly Landmark Education).  If you follow the recommendations and readings on my site, you should be able to put together a very strong philosophy of life - AND please be aware that this exercise has very, very high value per amount of effort put into it, but it will take some focused time:  How To Write Your Life Philosophy

Most people want to fix specific problems, which is fine, but they do it to the exclusion of formulating a broader, more comprehensive and much more solid and useful philosophy of life.  Spend at least the minimum time recommended on this.

If you watch videos from the philosophy and growth experts, you can formulate a philosophy by having a notepad at hand and writing out what is relevant, stopping the videos, and even going back, to get some exact languaging to use.  The resource pages I've set up for the top success guys will have enough videos on some of those to do an "immersion" weekend (or several individual days), where you listen and take notes all day so that you have gathered alot of material by the end of the day - but be sure you finish reviewing and processing your notes into actual pages that you will use.  See the resources in Resources For Success - you can get a massive education if you watch the extensive series I have for Tony Robbins.  Napoleon Hill has a number of videos, plus the homesy, but very wise, Jim Rohn has some good materials.


THEN, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CLEAR WAY OF RUNNING YOUR LIFE

Here I would have you go to a pre-set schedule, like the one I've set up: A Pre-Set, Super-Committed Schedule For The Day, For An Always Powerful Day! Not Optional!.

In conjunction with that, I recommend that you read my Kindle book (using their free software for any type of computer or tablet), for 99 whopping cents, so that you can do what I did that freed up 4 1/2 hours day from "irrelevant" (low payoff) activities:  My Life Value Productivity System, An Easier, Far More Happy Way To Live....


THEN DEVELOP YOUR BEST OTHER RESOURCE

As with the life value productivity book, you'll reduce your stress and increase your repair and rejuvenation, but this time it will be with your actual energy and your body and mind health.  And it'll be a quick implementation book, too, for you to get results right away, but without burdening yourself with lots of reading and studying - just do it!  The title will be in the range of  The Quick, Smart Route To Great Physical-Emotional Health, Weight Loss, And A Long Life!  (I did it!)  The link to the book will be on my Books page.
